Incubus Master: Captured 1 - Yamila Abraham

This was just plain awful. No idea who was who or what was going on (maybe part of a previous series?) Downloaded it for free but will be deleting it off my cloud. And apparently this is a whole series?

Steamed Up - Amy Rae Durreson, Eli Easton, Bell Ellis, Kim Fielding, Anka Grace, R.D. Hero, Mark Lesney, Augusta Li, Mary Pletsch, Angelia Sparrow, Layla M. Wier

3.5 stars. I liked most of the stories here, but there were a few that I just couldn't connect with. (which always seems the case with anthologies)

Definitely helped with my steampunk craving! :)

In the Blaze of His Hungers - Dominique Frost

3.5 stars. Very sexy, dirty, hot relationship between a teenager and his best friend's dad. Ending was pretty abrupt though. I would of liked to see everyone else reactions to the relationship.

SPOILER ALERT!
Hound Dog & Bean - B.G. Thomas

This was definitely not for me. Usually I like this author's work and the blurb sounded good, so I gave this a try. I never warmed up to H.D. throughout the whole book. I know he had issues, but I found him to be selfish. And too slutty. (and not in the fun way) Mini rant (and spoilers!) ahead... [

WTF? Dean's parents gave him a bit of a hard time so he totally blames it all on Dean then takes off without telling anyone anything (except take care of my dog, since that's all he cares about). He basically runs from everything and uses guys for his own needs with no consideration for anyone else. Anyways, he takes off, cheats on Dean in the process (though since he was running away, I guess that doesn't count) and when he finally pulls his head out of his ass? DEAN JUST TAKES HIM BACK LIKE NOTHING!!!! No apology, no explanation, nothing. Just, BAM! HEA.

Again, WTF?]

Plus, I think it could of been edited better to cut out ALOT of pages/scenes. I'm all for getting my moneys worth, but most of it was just the characters thinking about life or conversations between one MC and a minor character.

Can't recommend this one, but you should try Trust Me or Bianca's Plan by this author.

The Medicine and the Mob (The Santorno Stories) - Sandrine Gasq-Dion, Jennifer 'Jenjo' Jacobson

Waiting for other reviews on this...I'm pretty sure these guys are in the assassin/shifter books. So was wondering if I needed to finish that whole series to understand who is who?

ETA - 2.5 stars. Enjoyed the beginning, but kinda lost me with waaaay too much plot going on without a pause. (come on, living together, kids, kids growing up all with barely a chapter between them)

Plus I feel like there's just too many secondary characters.

Still not a bad read, but not my favorite by this author

Less than 20 out of 500 books! I'm kinda cheesy with my 5 stars...

Room at the Edge - Jane Davitt, Alexa Snow

Another great read by this author duo. Loved the three of these guys together, but I still felt like they have more of their story to tell at the end. And MY GOD THE SEX WAS SO HOT!!! Seriously worth the price just to read the sex scenes. :)

Emerging Magic - Angela Benedetti

3.5 stars. Good read but I didn't enjoy this one as much as the first book. I still liked Rory and Paul, but they kind of annoyed me for alot of the book. The magic and action scenes were great. Still looking forward to reading the next book in this series.

Lesser Evils - Andrea Speed

This is such an amazing series! Another great book except, damn I hate the endings! What's going on with Roan?? So glad book 7 is already out and I can find out. ;)

Plus, Holden! I love him. The vigilante hooker....awesome. :)

This whole series I highly recommend.

SPOILER ALERT!
Brokenhearted - Cate Ashwood

Sweet romance between two likeable main characters. It felt a bit like a case of insta-love and 'I'll change my whole life around for you'. (but the characters were so cute together I didn't really care) One thing that totally annoyed me was Oliver realizes that there are two people in a relationship, so not to go off half-cocked about things before talking. Then proceeds to go off half-cocked after hearing bad news. You just had that talk with yourself days ago!!

After the last few books I've read had no on-page sex, I think I ended up skimming half of the sex scenes. Not that they weren't hot, but I felt like there was so many! (but really, that could just be due to my previous reading which had nothing to do with this book)

Freefall - Andrea Speed

Another great read in this series! I have to admit, while I like Dylan, I still love Paris. And Holden is basically kick ass. :)

Glad I had most of these books already, as the endings just kind of end with no real resolution. On to the next!

Bloodlines - Andrea Speed

Great storytelling and what a heartbreaking ending! Paris! :(

On to the next book...

Prey - Andrea Speed

3.5 bumped up to 4. First novella was kinda slow for me, but it picked up for the second. Really ending up loving both the main characters and am so happy I already have the rest of the books waiting for me on my kindle! :)
